| Charles celebrates after scoring New Radiant's fourth goal |

Male’, MALDIVES – The game between New Radiant ended in an eight goal draw. Both teams scored 4 goals in tonight’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League match. Valencia opened the scoring, however New Radiant came back strong and scored two goals in quick succession. It was Valencia who then had to play the catch up game.
The first goal came in the 9th minute. Ali Fasir managed to beat his marker outside the penalty area and took a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Keeper Ziyazan dived and punched the ball, but it fell straight in to Yoosuf Rameez's foot. He easily pushed it to the empty net.
New Radiant equalized from a well worked corner kick. Shinaz took the corner to the far post and Petrov headed it back to Nasir, who took a half volley in to the goal. Keeper Habeeb could not do anything to save the ball.
New Radiant scored their second goal of the game two minutes later. Faruhaad took the free kick when Thoriq (Tom) was brought down around the mid of Valencia half. Faruhaadh’s shot went to the far post and even though keeper Habeeb tried to save the ball, he couldn’t.
Valencia equalized in the 37th minute. Ali Fasir dribbled past two defenders and New Radiant’s central defender Ahmed Abdulla tried to tackle to take the ball away. But he completely mistimed it and missed the ball and the player. Ali Fasir then took the shot to the corner of the goal.
Petkov in his debut game opened his goal scoring chart in the 45th minute. Shinaz took a shot from the edge of the penalty area and keeper Habeeb punched it away only to the foot of Petkov. He controlled the ball and shot to the corner of the goal.
Valencia equalized in the 65th minute. Assad scored from a superb free kick from the mid of the half. Keeper Ziyazan dived to get the ball, but it was far from his reach.
Four minutes later, Charles scored his first goal of the match. Tom gave a superb through pass and Charles chipped it to the corner of the goal.
Valencia came back again 10 minutes later. Ali Fasir dribbled past Abdullah Mohammed and took the shot from the edge of the penalty area. It hit the corner of the post and went inside the goal.
After the match, New Radiant coach, Mohammed Shiyaz Mohan said that the players lost their discipline in today’s match.
“It was a good game for the supporters as their were lots of goals. But it was not good for us today. Our attacks were stronger and we created a lot of chances. But it’s not enough. We need to have tactical discipline when we defend as well”
“I think the players were not ready today. There were so many mistakes from the players. If it’s one mistake its acceptable. But when it’s lots of mistakes its always difficult”
“We had some problems in adjusting to a new formation. In the first half, I felt there were too many gaps. But we closed it down in the second half and started strongly. But if they scores from the balls that goes in to our half, what can we do?”
Mohan also praised the performance of Petkov in his debut game.
“It was his first game. I am happy with his performance considering it was his first game here”
Meanwhile, Valencia’s coach Abdullah Waheed (Binma) said that they were pleased with the performance of the players.
“We are happy with the performance of the players. They were impressive today. It’s not easy to come back and score goals when your always behind. So the players did a lot of hard work to draw the game”
“Some of our players do not have the experience to play in this level that’s why we had conceded so many goals. It would take some time for them to adjust”
“Today Zubair even played with an injury. But we don’t have any other option except to use him”
