Sivaji talking to the Maldives media during last year's AFC Cup clash against Victory

Male', MALDIVES - Victory Sports Club is trying to sign Singapore's Home United's coach Nair Sivaji. The mastermind behind Home United's success in the AFC Cup, Sivaji, also has shown interest to join the reds and it was confirmed by Victory Sports Club's general secretary, Marzooq. Home United played in the quarterfinals of the AFC Cup in this season.

'Sivaji told us that he wants international experience and Victory is one of the club he wanted to coach. He also said that he does not care for bigger offers or huge salaries'.

Sivaji also coached for Singapore national team. Under Sivaji's guidance, Home United played against Victory twice and won the two matches.

Sivaji's contract with Home United would expire on November 7th. It is believed that he would meet with the officials of Home United on 30th of this month and would make a decision based on it.

Victory also tried to sign an Argentinean coach for the upcoming season. However, Marzooq said that they have lost contact with him.

Victory's coaching department was headed this season by Mauroof Ahmed (Maattey) and Ali Suzeyn. However, Mauroof hinted in a press briefing that he would move away from coaching career.

Meanwhile, except New Radiant all the other clubs would retain their coaches. New Radiant is yet to reveal about the situation of their coach Gerd.

Hey Gerrard! As the league was introduce only in the year of 2000, you means the hard works done by players like Moosa, Kuda Heena, Kaleem, Larey, Binmaa etc to achive success to their clubs are nothing. You have only one fact to claim that valacia as the best club in Maldives. But if you look at to Victory they have thousands of facts. They have won the most cups, they were the first team who won a match against a forign team, they were the team who stop the forign teams talking away pomiss cup every year since it intoduced. They were the one who brought a reveolution to Maldives football bringing players like Fidhadhi and Friday. They were the team who came with 18 years old boys in 1992 to stop New Radient and as you know they were the team who beat your Valancia (with Ali Shiyam, Nizam, ALi Umar and Dhagandey) without their first team 08 players. Now judge on your self.

Just to bring into maldivesoccer's attention, througout the world the BEST teams are labelled depending on the number of LEAGUES they have claimed, and if we look at Dhivehi Futuboalha CLUB VALENCIA has acheived the most number of leagues. Therefore, the team with the best history in Dhivehi Futuboalha is as evryone knows CLUB VALENCIA. The President's cup or the Gaumee Mubaaraai wouldnt indicate the best team as there are no such tournaments as such played anywhere eles in the world. So as CLUB VALENCIA has won the most number of Dhivehi Leagues including three consecutive times and the inaugran title VALENCIA is the best team currently in Dhivehi Futuboalha. Acheivements include winning the first ever Dhivehi League, only team to win the Dhivehi League three consecutive times and winning the most number of Dhievhi Leagues so far!

I disagree with you Red Devli, in my opinion Saanthi and Mohan have those capabilities to change the game at any moment. But for this as youve' said they would need absolute freedom to handle the team without any influenze!

If its Sivaji or someone else, he should be able to read the game and able to change the game according to the tempore of the game. One thing i am very clear about it is, there is no football coach from Maldives who knows the game and who can change the game. Even Abjee, Mattey, Kuda Moosa, Heena or Suzeyn. Can any of MS visitor challenge me on this???
